- Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA)
- Assists State and local governments in response to large scale radiological incidents
- Department of Transportation (DOT)
- Regulates the transportation of all radioactive and hazardous materials on public roads
- Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)
- Regulates the amount of radiological effluents released to the environment and radiation exposure to members of the general public from facility activities
