The Workers' Compensation program provides benefits to any employee who suffers disability through accident or occupational disease arising out of, and in the course of, his or her employment, according to the provisions of the North Carolina Workers' Compensation Act. This act applies to all University Employees, whether full-time, part-time, or temporary. If you are an employee, and you have been injured, please download an informative brochure. If you are the supervisor of an injured employee, we also have an informative brochure for you.

The Workers' Compensation section of the Environment, Health and Safety Department's website is for those needing information and answers to questions about Workers' Compensation at UNC and the University Employee Occupational Health Clinic (UEOHC). Choose a subject on the left that you are interested in for more information. If you have suggestions on subjects that should appear here, please don't hesitate to contact us.
