Radiation Safety

The Radiation Safety section provides services that include authorization for use of radioactive material and irradiators, personnel monitoring, X-ray safety survey and lab safety inspections. Additionally, Radiation Safety provides radiation safety services to other University of North Carolina system institutions that do not have the expertise to handle some program requirements or the budget to hire consultants.
